About Kelly.

Hey! Thanks for stopping by my blog. It is here that I post my most current work. Feel free to stay as long as you want. Look around, and enjoy! Let me know if you have any questions. The sky is the limit, so if you have a creative idea I’d love to hear about it. We can work together to make your photo dreams become reality. To me photography is more than a hobby. It is more than a passion. Photography to me – is a way of life. I see beautiful moments and images every day; in the way the light from my window wraps around my coffee cup in the morning, or the way the sun backlights an autumn leaf on a tree or the smile on the face of someone you love.

All moment are beautiful.

There is no greater feeling than to have the opportunity to purposely capture moments like; a toddler at play, or a family that has had a hard year but has come out the other end still smiling, or a high school senior uncertain of the years that lay ahead, or an engaged couple that’s shamelessly in love or a bride and groom who are radiating happiness and joy to everyone around.

These are the moments worth capturing and hanging onto for a lifetime.  These are the moments in which photography comes alive. The photos are no longer contained to a two dimensional print, but they are real. And they are emotional. They are worth more than a thousand words.

My goal as a photographer is to let the photos speak for themselves – for the moment to come alive to any viewer. For a viewer not only see but to also get a sense of energy or feeling of the moment; to hear a laugh or feel the love of the family that is being displayed. One of the ways I do this is by simply living in the moment with whoever I am photographing (not over posing people). I also keep each final photo as real as possible (In short, I do not over use Photoshop’s capabilities). I am blessed to call photography “work”.

I live in Hudson, WI with my husband (and wonderful assistant) Phil. We like being outside and creating our own adventures. I enjoy canoeing and riding my bike. I love to laugh and have a good time. The support of my family has meant the world to me and I believe all my talents and abilities were given to me by an awesome God.

Nice blog. Great photos. You have summed up who you are and what you are about beautifully! I couldn’t agree more with the way you see moments and images. And may I say your talents and abilities were given to by an awesome God. And that same God gave you to the rest of us to help us find his beauty in the everyday world. Oh by the way, I have my old job back as warehouse manager for Feed My People Food Bank! Love you Kelly! and I still use you as a training example of how to stack a pallet! Rick
