Stephanie is apart of a company called Trades of Hope. The mission of the company is to empower women by teaching them artistic trades and have compassionate entrepreneurs, like Stephanie, sell their fair trade jewelry, home decor and other accessories. This helps women get out of working in sweatshops, be subject to human trafficking, abusive situations and poverty. So it was a no surprise when Stephanie also planned an eco-friendly, fair-trade, local business based wedding in Osceola, WI. Every vendor, from her shoes to her florist, came from a company that supplied local, sustainable or repurposed products and services. (See vendor list below for specifics).
Stephanie and Mark met through mutual friends and since their first date, where they went bowling, they have been adventuring in the great outdoors (including a kayaking trip where Mark proposed) and sharing in life together. Their wedding ceremony was set to be outside overlooking a corn field and pasture at Double R Farms in Osceola, but mother nature had it’s own plans for the day. The wind was fierce all morning and the air stifling hot and humid. At the last minute they moved the ceremony inside the barn, which was a great call for as soon as Stephanie’s dads were walking her down the aisle, a huge clap of thunder sounded and rain came down in sheets. By the end of the ceremony the storm had passed, cooling the air and making way for beautiful clouds and sunset which we took full advantage of for photos.
Congratulations Mark and Stephanie. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to share in your day! Enjoy your photos. :D
